Resolution to Consider Bid Award of City Project 15-13, WTP 3 and 4 Backwash Reclamation <br />and Vessel 3A Rehabilitation. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jacobsen, seconded by Councilmember Strub to approve the Consent <br />Agenda as presented. <br /> <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays - Motion Carried <br /> <br />Councilmember Strub noted Mr. Wyland was in attendanc e and invited him to address the Council. <br />Skip Wyland, Pets Remembered, introduced himself and his business to the Council. He <br />commented further on his proposed business expansion, noting the second cremation machine <br />would allow his business to double their capacity. He stated he was very proud to be part of <br />the business community in New Brighton. <br />Councilmember Strub thanked Mr. Wyland for providing a unique service to the community. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Commission Liaison R eports, Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />Dean Lotter <br />City Manager Lotter reported Public Safety Director Paetznick has been serving the City in his <br />new position for one year. He thanked him publicly for his dedicated service to the <br />community. He commented on an award the Parks and Recreation Director would be receiving <br />in January and noted the City came in third for National Night Out. <br /> <br />Gina Bauman <br />Councilmember Bauman reported the Buske Group met with the Cable Commission (CTV) to <br />assist in setting a new d irection and image for the CTV, along with discussing the new <br />Executive Director. She explained the group was shifting its focus to community media. She <br />indicated the Cable Commission would be meeting next in December. It was noted the <br />December EDC meeting had been canceled. She reported there would be a Truth In Taxation <br />meeting at City Hall on Tuesday, December 5th. <br /> <br /> <br />3.
