3 <br /> <br />Parking spots could be created in the cul-de-sac area. Or another comment <br />was on the north side of 5th Street could create some parking. It would not be <br />too invasive into the green space. <br /> <br />Council Member Burg asked if it is busy during the day on week days. A <br />commissioner mentioned that when he goes is usually after work weekdays <br />and on the weekends. These times are usually very busy. Council Member <br />Burg said during the day traffic and the security of the maintenance building is <br />the biggest concern. She also felt having a serious conversation with Ramsey <br />County about Long Lake Park would be a good idea. Commissioners felt it <br />would be a good area for a dog park and felt we should pursue it. Acting <br />Director Jason Hicks stated he will check to see if their meetings are open to <br />the public at this time. <br />Vermont Park: Parks Superintendent Chris Wolla stated the field gets used <br />for football in the fall. There are some soccer practices there. Our Flag <br />Football program uses that field as well. There is only street parking. Also <br />there is a resident right on the corner. Vermont is low on the list for a dog <br />park. <br /> <br />The Commission wanted to keep the Long Lake Park/Ramsey County one on <br />the top of the list. <br /> <br />Acting Director Jason Hicks clarified that more information is needed on the <br />following three locations: Hansen Park, Jones Lake are and Public Works. <br /> <br />Also the Commission made the following motion: <br /> <br />MOTION BY COMMISSIONER EISCHEN, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER QUADE, TO START A DIALOG WITH RAMSEY COUNTY <br />ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF A DOG PARK AT LONG LAKE REGIONAL <br />PARK. Outdoor Pickleball Courts/Hidden Oaks <br />Acting Director Jason Hicks presented the history of the discussion; at the <br />November 2, 2016 meeting and also the March 1, 2017 meeting. <br />Silver Oaks (1 Court) Costs and Funding: <br /> Scheduled to be replaced in 2022 <br /> Current estimated costs to reconstruct Silver Oaks: <br />o 1 tennis and 2 pickleball - $18,500 <br />o 3 pickleball courts - $24,500 <br /> Potential Funding <br />o $36,300 Pavement Management Plan <br /> <br />Hidden Oaks (2 Courts) Costs and Funding: <br /> Scheduled to be replaced in 2022 <br /> Cost estimates to reconstruct Hidden Oaks: <br />o 6 pickleball courts is $55,500 <br /> This includes the court surface, net standards and nets. <br />Does not include new fencing or other amenities. <br />o 2 tennis courts and 6 pickleball - $17,800
