A caller reported smoke in the area and responding officers
found the RV on fire, parked just inches from the residence. A quick-attack kept the
flames from spreading to the residential structure. Firefighters were hampered by the
subzero temperatures outside.

On December 26, squads were dispatched on an intoxicated male who fell out of his
vehicle and hit his head. The witnesses advised the male (a 61 year old male from Coon
Rapids) may have lost consciousness. The male had large bloody bump and bruising
above his eye. The male was disoriented with slurred speech and a strong odor of alcohol
emanated from his breath. There were open bottles of alcohol located in his vehicle. He
was uncooperative and incoherent and obviously unable to care for himself. An
Emergency Transport Hold was placed on him and an Allina ambulance was summoned
to the scene to transport him to the hospital.

On December 26, officers responded to a townhome in Brighton Square to check the
welfare of an elderly female resident who had not been heard from that day and was
unable to be reached by telephone. They were unable to make contact at the front door
but could hear someone inside. Officer Thai Xiong climbed an adjacent balcony and
found the patio door to the unit unlocked. Once inside, the officers determined that the
female had fallen and likely suffered a stroke. She was transported by Allina paramedics
to the hospital.
