The driver was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and his <br />passenger was cited for False Info to Police for providing a fake name. SAPD officer <br />with a felony warrant arrest. <br /> <br />Fifteen overtime funded officers worked county wide on Thu 12/21, Fri 12/22 and Sat <br />12/23 from 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. that yielded the following: <br /> <br />• 170 traffic stops <br />• 17 people taken to jail <br />• 13 DWI arrests <br />• 23 drivers cited for DAR/DAS <br />• 10 vehicles towed <br /> <br />Fourteen overtime funded officers worked county wide on Thu 12/28, Fri 12/29 and Sat <br />12/30 from 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. that yielded the following: <br /> <br />• 189 traffic stops <br />• 22 people taken to jail <br />• 20 DWI arrests <br />• 22 drivers cited for DAR/DAS <br />• 8 vehicles towed <br /> <br />Notes: SPPD officers made 16 of the 20 DWI arrests with the majority of the violators <br />being repeat offenders or having very high alcohol content. One officer made two DWI <br />arrests from the same car after the vehicle was involved in a crash and the two occupants <br />switched seats and they were both drunk. Another officer arrested a "slumper" after she <br />blew .398 on the PBT at roadside. A third SPPD officer made three DWI arrests during <br />the shift, two drivers impaired by drugs and the other by alcohol. TZD officers assisted <br />State Patrol on a felony stop on Hwy 694 of a stolen car with five occupants. Bitter cold <br />and terrible driving conditions all three nights. <br /> <br />Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office hosted the TZD Hi-Viz DWI Saturation on Sunday, <br />December 31, 2017, from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Five overtime funded officers and four <br />volunteer reserve officers' efforts yielded the following: <br /> <br />• 55 traffic stops <br />• 4 people taken to jail <br />• 4 DWI arrests <br />• 4 drivers cited for DAR/DAS <br />• 3 vehicles towed <br /> <br />Notes: A relatively quiet New Year's Eve with bitter cold temperatures. <br /> <br />On December 10, New Brighton officers responded to a motor vehicle crash on Old <br />Highway SW @ Foss Road where the driver had fled on foot from the scene. The <br />suspect was later brought by family members to the Roseville Police Department. He <br />was interviewed and admitted to drinking alcohol and driving the vehicle which he <br />crashed into another car before fleeing the scene. His breath alcohol concentration
