7 <br />On July 7th around 6:30pm, Officers responded to the 400 block of 14th Street NW on a <br />report of a female going in and out of consciousness behind the wheel of a vehicle. They <br />found the car parked halfway on the curb and the rest in the street with a female sleeping <br />in the driver’s seat slumped over to the passenger side. She was clearly intoxicated and <br />failed field sobriety tests but refused an evidentiary sample. 11 grams of suspected <br />cocaine were found during an inventory search of the vehicle. The driver was booked at <br />the Ramsey County Jail for 2nd Degree DWI, False Information to Police, and <br />Possession of Narcotics. <br /> <br />Around 1:15am on July 9th, Officer Joe Pyka observed a vehicle being driven along the <br />center line of County Road D near Old Highway 8 NW. He stopped the vehicle and <br />observed signs of intoxication. The driver admitted to drinking at an establishment in <br />Saint Anthony. He failed field sobriety tests and provided an evidentiary breath sample <br />of .19, more than twice the legal limit. He was booked at the Ramsey Count y Jail for 3rd <br />Degree DWI. <br /> <br />On July 9th around 7:35pm, DWI Officer Kostohryz, stops a vehicle for several traffic <br />violations. While speaking with the 34 year old driver, he detects a strong odor of <br />marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver is shows signs impairment and fails field <br />sobriety tests. She is placed under arrest for DWI. Methamphetamine is located during a <br />search of the vehicle. A search warrant is obtained for a blood draw. After the blood <br />draw, the driver was booked for Possession of the Methamphetamine with additional <br />charges pending for the DWI. <br /> <br />Around 10:30 on the morning of July 12th, Officers responded to a reckless driver <br />complaint who hit a street sign and found the vehicle with fresh damage in the parking lot <br />of the Garden View Apartments with the driver who also had minor injuries. He <br />displayed obvious signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests. His breath alcohol <br />concentration measure .26, more than three-times the legal limit. He was booked at the <br />Ramsey County Jail for 2nd Degree DWI. <br /> <br />Around 9:20pm on July 12th, Officer Pyka observed a vehicle driving on the shoulder. <br />The driver claimed he had not been drinking even though he smelled of alcohol. The <br />driver failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for DWI. He agreed to a <br />breath test which revealed a BAC of .09. He was booked for a 4th degree DWI. <br /> <br />Around 2:30am on July 13th, Officer Pyka stops a vehicle for a traffic violations. The <br />driver showed signs of impairment. DWI Officer Kostohryz responds to the locations <br />and conducts field sobriety tests. The driver failed the field sobriety tests and is placed <br />under arrest for DWI. The driver agrees to take a breath test which reveals a BAC of .09. <br />The driver is booked for 4th degree DWI. <br /> <br />Around 8pm on July 13th, Officers responded to a “slumper” call in the Oak Grove <br />Mobile Home Park. The caller reported that the driver was passed out behind the wheel. <br />Officers found the vehicle running and the driver showed signs of impairment. He failed <br />field sobriety tests and several items of drug paraphernalia were observed inside the <br />vehicle. The driver was arrested for DWI, a search warrant obtained, and a blood sample <br />drawn. He was booked at the Ramsey County Jail for 3rd Degree DWI. <br />
