TRAFFIC SAFETY <br /> <br />The following information contains summaries of significant traffic safety and traffic <br />enforcement incidents during the month. <br /> <br />Ramsey County Traffic Safety Initiative <br /> <br />North St. Paul Police hosted the TZD Hi-Viz DWI Saturation on Tuesday, July 3, <br />2018 from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. <br /> <br />Thirteen overtime funded officers and four volunteer reserve officers produced the <br />following: <br /> 159 traffic stops <br /> 8 people taken to jail <br /> 5 DWI arrests <br /> 29 drivers cited for DAR/DAS <br /> 4 vehicles towed <br />Notes: An unusually high number of unlicensed, suspended, and revoked drivers. NSP <br />officer arrested a driver for 2nd Degree DWI that tested at .17 AC with an 8 year old <br />child in the backseat. <br /> <br />Saint Paul Police hosted the TZD Hi-Viz DWI Saturation on Saturday, July 14, 2018 <br />from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. <br /> <br />Fifteen overtime funded officers and two volunteer reserve officers produced the <br />following: <br /> <br />• 159 traffic stops <br />• 17 people taken to jail <br />• 12 DWI arrests <br />• 28 drivers cited for DAR/DAS <br />• 5 vehicles towed <br />
