3 <br />Brightwood Hills Golf Course but were not located. The suspect vehicle was found to <br />have just been stolen from the City of Mounds View. A short time later, a resident of <br />Greenview Drive reported that their pickup truck had been stolen. The keys had been left <br />inside the truck. It is believed that the two incidents are related. <br /> <br />On October 11 at about 6:00pm, Public Safety responded to the 2000 block of Cedar <br />Drive on report of a house fire with flames showing from a window in the front of the <br />residence. The fire division, along with assistance from Lake Johanna Fire thanks to the <br />Ramsey County closest unit dispatching system arrived on scene quickly and <br />extinguished the fire before it could spread throughout the house. There were no injuries <br />reported at the fire. The cause is still under investigation. <br /> <br /> <br />On October 12 around 2:30pm, New Brighton firefighters responded to a mutual aid <br />request from the City of Saint Anthony for an apartment fire on Silver Lane. New <br />Brighton personnel assisted with extinguishment and overhaul. <br /> <br />On October 14, a passerby notified Officer Joe Pyka that a vehicle was in Stony Lake in <br />1500 block of 23rd Avenue NW and the driver was reportedly walking away from the <br />scene. He found the partially submerged vehicle unoccupied but located the partially <br />dressed driver walking a block away. The driver was suffering a mental health <br />emergency and placed on a transport hold order to HCMC for evaluation. The vehicle <br />was removed from the water by Freeway Towing. <br /> <br />On October 16, Public Safety responded to the Old Highway 8 Dairy Queen on a report <br />of smoke coming from an ice cream machine. Firefighters unplugged the unit and <br />determined that there was no active fire coming from the malfunctioning ice cream <br />machine. <br /> <br />On October 16, officers responded to a disturbance inside a vehicle in the Oak Grove <br />Trailer Park. The 911 caller reported that the female had a handgun. Officers detained <br />three suspects and during a protective pat-down search for weapons, found a Keltek <br />9mm semi-automatic handgun in the right front pocket of one of the females. The 18 <br />year-old was arrested and booked at the Ramsey County Jail for possession of a firearm <br />without a permit. <br /> <br />
