Special Use Permit – 875 3rd Avenue NW <br />Planning Commission Report; 9-18-18 <br /> <br /> <br />Page 6 <br />Additional <br />Information: <br /> None <br /> <br />Engineering <br />Review: <br /> Engineering reviewed the proposed plan for a new garage and had no comments or <br />concerns about the proposal. Ultimately the final plans must show resulting drainage <br />will not adversely impact neighbors. <br /> <br />Public <br />Comment: <br /> Staff has not received any feedback from surrounding property owners as of 9/11/18. <br /> <br /> <br />Conclusion: <br /> The application is requesting a Special Use Permit to authorize construction of a <br />residential garage in excess of 624 square feet. <br />Staff Recommendation: Per the analysis outlined in the report, staff is <br />recommending APPROVAL with conditions <br /> <br />Commission <br />Options: <br />The Planning Commission has the following options: <br />A) RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE REQUEST based on the <br />applicant’s submittals and findings of fact. <br />B) RECOMMEND DENIAL OF THE REQUEST based on the applicant’s <br />submittals and findings of fact. <br />C) TABLE THE ITEM and request additional information. <br />Based on an application date of 7/31/18, the 60-day review period for this <br />application would have expired on 9/29/2018. As any delay by the Planning <br />Commission or Council would have caused the City to miss this deadline, staff <br />extended the review out an additional 60 days to 11/28/18.
