ADR involves an independent third person, called a "neutral" who tries to help resolve or narrow the
areas of conflict. ADR early in a case can result in the more efficient, cost-effective resolution of disputes with greater
satisfaction to the parties. A great majority of the civil cases, including marital dissolutions (divorces), filed in Minnesota
state courts are settled by using ADR. Minnesota courts recognize the effectiveness of ADR as a tool for settling disputes.

Conflict Resolution Center of Minneapolis, MN
30-Hour Trained Civil Mediator, February 2015
I received additional training to handle Co-workers, Business/Customer, Family Members, Landlord/Tenant and
Victim/Offender. Mediation is a guided process where parties come together to work out a solution and keep control
over the outcome. I was trained to provide a setting where reaching agreement is possible and all participants have the
opportunity to voice their concerns.

Conflict Resolution Center of Minneapolis, MN
Juvenile Diversion and Restorative Justice, March 2015 to August 2016
Under Minnesota Statute Section 388.24, every County Attorney’s Office in the state is required to provide a diversion
program for first time juvenile offenders charged with certain types of offenses. CRC provides these pre-trial diversion
and restorative justice programs for counties.

West Virginia Supreme Court, Magistrate Court Mediation, Morgantown, WV
Magistrate Court Mediator, May 2006 - May 2008
The Monongalia County Magistrate Court assigns selected cases to mediation as an alternative to litigation. The
Magistrate Court Mediation Program is a coordination of the efforts of the Supreme Court of Appeals, the Monongalia
County Circuit Court, the Monongalia County Magistrate Court, and the West Virginia State Bar. During this time I
completed the State Bar’s mediation training and mediated cases in Monongalia, Marion and Preston Counties.
