February 26, 2019 Page 6 of 6 3 Ayes, 0 Nays-Motion Carried Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates Dean Lotter City Manager Lotter reported staff has been working on an FAQ for the New Brighton Elementary redevelopment site. He explained once complete, this information will be placed on the City’s website. Graeme Allen Councilmember Allen reported he recently attended a CPY Board meeting. He discussed the great work CPY completes in the community with at youth risk. He invited the Council to attend the CPY Spring Luncheon on Tuesday, March 5th at 12:00 p.m. at the New Brighton Community Center. He explained the 35W Coalition meeting for February was canceled and noted this group would meet next on Thursday, March 7th. He indicated the EDC would meet next on Wednesday, March 6th at 7:30 a.m. Paul Jacobsen Councilmember Jacobsen reported he attended the Planning Commission meeting on February 19th. He thanked all who attended this meeting and provided the Commission with their comments and concerns. He indicated the Planning Commission will meet next on Tuesday, March 19th at 7:00 p.m. He noted PREC meets next on Wednesday, March 6th at 6:30 p.m. He stated he attended the neighborhood meeting that was held last Thursday at Totem Park and thanked all of the residents that were able to attend this event. He invited the public to consider attending the next neighborhood meeting which would be held on Thursday, March 21st at Sunnyside Park at 6:00 p.m. He commented on the modifications that would occur in the City during the I-35W reconstruction project over the next three years. Lastly, he thanked the Public Works Department for all of their efforts to keep the City free and clear of snow. Mayor Johnson Mayor Johnson thanked the Public Works Department for their efforts as well. She stated she looked forward to attending the neighborhood meeting on Thursday, March 21st.
