November 12, 2019 Page 1 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday <br />November 12, 2019 at 6:30 pm in the New Brighton Council Chambers. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Johnson, Councilmembers Allen, Burg, Dunsworth, and Jacobsen <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Also Present: Devin Massopust-Assistant City Manager, Sarah Sonsalla-City Attorney, Jennifer <br />Fink-Parks and Recreation Director, Craig Schlichting-Community Assets & <br />Development Director <br /> <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Mayor Johnson called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance <br />Mayor Johnson led the Council in the Pledge of Allegiance along with representatives from the <br />VFW Post #724. The four members of the VFW Color Guard introduced themselves to the <br />City Council and discussed the activities they participated in the community. The Commander <br />noted the VFW members meet the first Tuesday of every month at the Eagles Club at 7:00 p.m. <br />A round of applause was offered by all in attendance. <br /> <br />Public Comment Forum <br />Mayor Johnson opened the Public Forum for comments from the public. <br /> <br />Greg Churnowski, 1321 Mississippi Street, thanked the Council for their service to the <br />community. He explained he appreciated the City’s 2040 Comprehensive Plan. He <br />encouraged the Council to keep New Brighton a clean place to live. He recommended the City <br />consider providing curbside organics pickup.
