Midtown Village August 20, 2019 <br />Response to City of New Brighton Comments <br /> <br />Prepared by Loucks 2 of 5 <br />2. The owner/engineer will need to obtain a permit from MnDOLI for watermain construction <br />and internal plumbing design. <br /> Response: MnDOLI permit will be applied for and obtained. <br /> <br />3. Any hydrant(s) to be installed shall be Clow Medallions. Existing hydrants that are removed <br />during construction shall be salvaged and delivered to the Public Works Department. <br />Public Works and Public Safety will review existing hydrant condition, as new hydrants <br />may be required. <br />Response: City hydrant detail incorporated. <br /> <br />4. Hydrant location and the fire department connections need to be coordinated with the Fire <br />Marshall. <br />Response: Please provide fire department comments, and they will be incorporated into <br />the plans. <br /> <br />5. All watermain pipe to be CL 52 ductile iron pipe with Clow resilient wedge gate valves. <br />The proposed layout will need to include 45-degree bends in lieu of the 90-degree bends <br />shown. <br />Response: Materials updated on plan sheets and in notes. All 90-degree bends have been <br />replaced with two 45-degree bends. <br /> <br />6. A minimum vertical separation of 18 inches must be provided between sanitary and <br />watermain crossings. <br />Response: Note provided on plans. <br /> <br />7. Show fire apparatus turning movement drawing for site plans. <br />Response: Please provide fire truck specifications. <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer <br /> <br />1. The sanitary sewer services are to be considered private and shall be constructed and <br />maintained by the property owners. A permit will be required for all sewer and water <br />connections and shall be inspected by Public Works. <br />Response: Noted. <br /> <br />Dominium <br />Sheet C1-2 <br /> <br />1. Existing salt building to remain <br />Response: Details of salt building along-side development, are being worked through. <br /> <br />2. Removal and replacement of City PW fence by dominium <br />Response: New fence will be provided. See BKV landscape plans.
