3

On January 6, Officers responded to Big Louieās around 7 pm for a drunk and belligerent
male who was harassing other customers and refused to leave the establishment. His
breath alcohol concentration measured .327 and he had nobody to take care of him at his
home in Roseville, so he was transported to detox. Public Safety is following-up with
management about the level of intoxication.

Shortly after 3 am on January 7, Brooklyn Park Police pursued a vehicle eastbound I-694
from their city, and the suspect eventually exited at Silver Lake Road and continued
southbound toward Saint Anthony, at which point the pursuing officers discontinued their
chase of the offender. New Brighton officers monitored the pursuit as it exited the
freeway and passed through the city.

Just after midnight on January 8, officers responded to an apartment parking lot in the
1200 block of 10th Street NW after a citizen reported several people were looking
through vehicles in the parking lot. When officers arrived, three suspects ran on foot.
The responding officers apprehended two of them. The area the suspects ran from was
searched after they were apprehended and the hat belonging to one of the suspects was
located. The officers located two small baggies containing methamphetamine inside the
hat. The two suspects were booked for fleeing police on foot.

On January 8, Officers assisted Minneapolis PD with a search warrant for a party who
was suspected of dealing in marijuana.

On January 11, New Brighton squads assisted Roseville PD in a search for a party who
ran from a stolen vehicle. With the assistance of the Minnesota State Patrol helicopter,
the party was located hiding in a vehicle. The suspect was the same party our agency had
arrested in a stolen vehicle in May of 2018.

On January 12, New Brighton squads assisted Ramsey County with locating two parties
who fled in a motor vehicle, crashed then fled on foot. Two parties were taken into
custody.

On January 13 around 9 pm, a witness called to report a male who threw a female to the
ground causing her to hit her face on the pavement. The suspect was initially
uncooperative with officers as he was detained and ultimately arrested for domestic
assault after officers completed their investigation. The victim declined medical
attention.

On January 16, New Brighton squads assisted State Troopers on an accident with
injuries. The driver had become combative and had to be restrained in the ambulance.

On January 16, Public Safety responded to a basement fire that occurred shortly after
noon in a townhouse at 2713 Rice Creek Road. The sole occupant who was home at the
time of the fire was able to safely evacuate. Crews located and extinguished the flames,
though there was significant smoke and fire damage to the interior of the residence. No
adjacent units were impacted by the fire This address is just blocks from Fridley Fire
Station #2, and as part of our new automatic aid agreement with them that took effect at
the beginning of 2019, their department was dispatched at the same time as ours, with
