7

Around 7 pm on February 23, a male walking on 10th Street NW @ 11th Avenue NW
had a dark-colored SUV stop in front of him with two male occupants. A black male
exited the vehicle and punched the victim in the face, taking his cell phone, wallet and
keys. The suspect got back into the SUV and both suspects left. The victim was only
able to provide limited suspect description. Allina transported the victim to Unity
Hospital for evaluation/treatment as he had swelling and bruising developing on his face.
Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate any witnesses or possible locations
for residential cameras that could have captured the incident.

On February 23, squads were dispatched on two males creating a disturbance in an
apartment. One of the parties was extremely intoxicated (.26 BAC) and ended up being
transported to detox.

Public Safety responded to the Fountain Terrace Apartments around 1:30 am on February
25. Officers found that a male had been kicked out of his girlfriend's apartment without
shoes. He then pulled the fire alarm in an attempt to get the girlfriend to open the
apartment door. He was cited for false fire alarm while firefighters reset the system.

Shortly after 6 pm on February 25, a male entered the north employee entrance of
Beisswenger’s Hardware and lifted his waistband to reveal the presence of a Colt 1911
.45 handgun, stating to the witnessing store employee, “you will let me in this entrance.”
The suspect then made a “lap” through the building but did not take anything. He ran out
the front entrance and entered a vehicle in the parking lot than had been left running and
unattended with the keys in the ignition, fleeing the area southbound on Old Highway 8.
The vehicle was entered as stolen. No surveillance camera images of the suspect were
available.

Around 11 pm on February 25, officers responded to Applewood Pointe on a vehicle
stuck in a snowbank in their parking lot. It was determined to be a reported stolen from
the City of Roseville.

A 47 year-old female who fell at Cowboy Jack’s shortly after midnight on February 26
declined medical treatment by Allina paramedics but was found to have an active gross
misdemeanor warrant for her arrest for a probation violation from Goodhue County for
an original DWI offense. She was arrested and booked at the Ramsey County Jail.

On February 26, squads were dispatched on a dispute over a divorced couple's cat that
had died. The cat was granted to the female half in their divorce. She thought it would
be nice to ask her ex-husband if he wanted to see it before she had it cremated. He shows
up and wants an autopsy done on the cat to determine its cause of death. The ex-wife
does not want this to happen and since she was given full custody rights, the ex-husband
was advised the cat would be cremated. The ex-husband was given some alone time with
the cat before it was cremated. He then left. They still haven't figured out who will take
custody of the ashes or whether they will split up the ashes between them. This will be
determined when the cat ashes are available for pick up.
