Scott will also be serving in a similar
capacity with Allina Health Emergency Medical Services as he completes his clinical
pastoral education requirements.

A resident called Public Safety on Monday, February 11 to express his appreciation for
Officer Kingslien’s response to their mailbox being struck by a snowplow on Sunday.
The resident stated that Officer Kingslien is a wonderful representative for the
department, stating that he did an excellent job and went out of his way to respond to this
call for service.

Dick Eckert, a longtime member of New Brighton’s Volunteers in Public Safety (VIPS),
resigned last week citing health concerns. Dick expressed his appreciation for the
opportunity to serve the community and acknowledged the VIPS as “a very special group
of people and are willing to do whatever for the NBPD.”

On February 23, the Minnesota Asian Peace Officers Association hosted their 2nd annual
banquet at an event center in Little Canada.
