3 <br />her arrest. In the vehicle, 2.1 grams of methamphetamine and assorted drug <br />paraphernalia was located. The driver refused field sobriety tests but a search warrant <br />was written and a urine sample obtained. Both the driver and passenger were booked at <br />Ramsey County Jail for Felony Possession of Controlled Substance. <br /> <br />On March 6, a male came to the police department to report that his brother had illegally <br />used his name to identify himself when he was arrested for DWI in New Brighton last <br />month. The offending brother was charged with gross misdemeanor false information to <br />a police officer. <br /> <br />On March 7 shortly before 2:30 am, Sgt. Ed Sypniewski assisted Saint Anthony Police as <br />they took the suspect of a home invasion robbery into custody without incident. The <br />suspect had stolen a vehicle and it was found in the driveway of the residence where he <br />was arrested. <br /> <br />On March 7, Fire responded on a newly installed water meter that had started on fire. <br />Fire worked with water department to remedy the situation. <br /> <br />At 5:21 am on March 9, officers responded to an alarm at the Dairy Queen on Silver Lake <br />Road. When officers arrived, they found the front door broken. Based on surveillance <br />camera footage, the suspect was inside the business between 5:14 and 5:18 am. Officers <br />checked numerous businesses immediately after and located no other burglaries. <br /> <br />On March 10 around 3 am, Officers Craig and Kostohryz assisted Ramsey County <br />Sheriff’s Deputies with searching and securing a retail building following a reported <br />burglary in-progress of a business in Shoreview. One suspect was located inside the <br />store. <br /> <br />On March 10, officers responded to a medical emergency involving an elderly female <br />suffering an allergic reaction and found the residence to be extremely unsanitary, with <br />animal feces and refuse throughout the house. Allina paramedics transported the victim <br />to the hospital. Code Enforcement Officer Scott Gigrich and Fire Marshal Kip LaMotte <br />were notified of the housing conditions for follow-up. <br /> <br />On March 10, officers responded to Cowboy Jack’s shortly before midnight after an <br />employee reported that her ex-boyfriend was outside the business and she had an active <br />Order for Protection (OFP) against him. She also had found a note on her vehicle from <br />him. Officers witnessed the suspect leaving the area and the suspect attempted to elude <br />them in the adjacent residential neighborhood. He was stopped and arrested for the OFP <br />violation. <br /> <br />On March 11, Officer Tom Griffin responded to a residence on Inca Drive on report of a <br />bat in the basement. He was able to subdue the bat and remove it from the house. <br /> <br />On March 11, a large pot hole approximately 5’x7’ developed on County Road D at <br />McCallum Drive. Three vehicles had suffered damage to their tires/rims as a result of the <br />compromised roadway. Public Safety placed traffic cones/barrels around the location and <br />notified Ramsey County Maintenance. <br />
