13 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Public Safety’s front office administrative staff attended the two-day biannual Minnesota <br />Professional Law Enforcement Assistants Association (PLEAA) conference May 15-17. <br />PLEAA’s objective is to provide specialized law enforcement training and networking <br />opportunities for administrative assistants and support staff from any division of law <br />enforcement. New Brighton Office Supervisor Julie Forbord is the Treasurer of the <br />organization that represents over 200 members from over 70 different agencies. <br /> <br />Firearms Instructor, Sergeant Ed Sypniewski, conducted the May monthly shoot for <br />stoppages and malfunctions. The training was for all NBDPS sworn peace officers and <br />was conducted in the indoor range. <br /> <br />Deputy Fire Chief Mike Schute attended a weeklong training held at Camp Ripley. <br /> <br />Officer Amberg attended the MN State Association of Narcotics Investigators <br />Conference. <br /> <br />Sgt. Singer attended SWAT Negotiator training. <br /> <br />Officer/Firefighter Wodnick attended driving school for the fire division. <br /> <br />Officer Sonterre attended driving school in St. Cloud on May 15. <br /> <br />Officer Semanko attended driving school in St. Cloud on May 23. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
