5 <br />Officers responded to a 60-year old male who had stabbed himself in the abdomen with a <br />knife at a townhouse in the 1100 block of Pecks Woods Drive shortly after 7 pm on <br />August 18. They rendered medical aid to the patient and learned that he suffers from <br />depression and psychosis. Allina paramedics transported the victim to HCMC where he <br />ultimately succumbed to his wounds. <br /> <br />Shortly before noon on August 21, employees at CSI reported a lost and confused elderly <br />male in their parking lot. Officers spoke with the 94-year old New Brighton resident who <br />had gotten lost driving home from Cub Foods. His son was contacted to pick up his <br />father and bring him home. A driver evaluation request was submitted. <br /> <br />Police officers and firefighters began a door-to-door search for a 5-year old child who <br />was reported missing from her residence in the 1900 block of 20th Ave NW around 4:30 <br />pm on August 21. During the investigation, it was determined that the child was actually <br />with her father and the mother who reported her missing was experiencing a mental <br />health emergency. <br /> <br />Officers responded to Benedictine Health Care Center on August 22 around 8 am on a <br />76-year old female who went into cardiac arrest during physical therapy. Staff at the <br />facility used their onsite AED twice and initiated CPR prior to the arrival of officers. The <br />victim eventually regained a pulse and started breathing on her own again. She was <br />transported to Mercy Hospital by Allina paramedics. <br /> <br />On August 22, New Brighton squads assisted Roseville PD with a call of shots being <br />fired at the Motel 6. St. Anthony PD located the suspect vehicle and New Brighton <br />squads assisted with the stop. <br /> <br />A female resident of the County Road D apartments came to the Public Safety Center on <br />August 23 to report that her boyfriend pointed a gun at her head and threatened to kill her <br />the previous evening. Officers arrested the suspect without incident at a local gas station <br />and booked him at the Ramsey County Jail. He was charged with three felonies: 2nd <br />Degree Assault, Terrorist Threats, and Possession of Ammunition during a Crime of <br />Violence by an Ineligible Person. <br /> <br />Officers responding to the Hillside East Apartments around 6 pm on August 24 on an <br />unknown male attempting to get into the 911-caller’s apartment recognized the individual <br />as someone who has the onset of dementia. They were able to walk the 75-year old male <br />across the parking lot to his actual building and made contact with a family member who <br />was on her way home to stay with him. <br /> <br />Officers received anonymous information that a person who was wanted on a Facebook <br />posting was at Big Louie’s around 6 pm on August 24. They located the male playing <br />pull-tabs in the corner of the bar. They confirmed that he had an active warrant for his <br />arrest and he was taken into custody. He was booked at the Ramsey County Jail for the <br />gross misdemeanor 2nd Degree DWI warrant. <br /> <br />A residential landlord called Public Safety inquiring about the legality of a tenant keeping <br />a 5’ long crocodile as a pet in the single-family residence on Highview Drive. No laws <br />prohibit the animal’s presence, the landlord was going to issue a lease violation.
