TRAFFIC SAFETY <br /> <br />The following information contains summaries of significant traffic safety and traffic <br />enforcement incidents during the month. <br /> <br />The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office hosted the TZD Hi-Viz DWI Saturation on August <br />3, 2019 from 7 pm to 3 am. This event was held in conjunction with Little Canada’s <br />“Canadian Days.” Nine over-time funded officers and four volunteer Reserve Officers <br />produced the following: <br /> <br />• 115 traffic stops <br />• 11 people taken to jail <br />• 9 DWI arrests <br />• 1 driver cited for Underage Drinking and Driving (Not a Drop) <br />• 9 drivers cited for DAR/DAS/DAC <br />• 10 vehicles towed <br /> <br />The New Brighton Paul Police Department hosted the TZD Hi-Viz DWI Saturation on <br />August 9, 2019 from 7 pm to 3 am. This event was held in conjunction with “Stockyard <br />Days.” Nine over-time funded officers and six volunteer Reserve Officers produced the <br />following: <br /> <br />• 115 traffic stops (this was the second week in a row for this many traffic stops) <br />• 7 people taken to jail <br />• 6 DWI arrests <br />• 1 driver cited for Underage Drinking and Driving (Not a Drop)
