Hwy 8 SW on a report of a domestic assault. While enroute, Officers were advised that <br />the male suspect had left in a gold Buick Century. Officer Craig located the vehicle <br />traveling westbound on W Cty Rd D at Continental Drive and eventually stopped the <br />vehicle on Silver Lake Rd/37th Ave N.E. The driver/suspect was identified as Dakota <br />Martin, 22 years of age Minneapolis. Mr. Martin displayed signs of intoxication and <br />admitted to "being in a fight" with his girlfriend. Officer B.J. DeBoer who was working <br />a traffic enforcement detail responded and processed Mr. Martin for a DUI arrest. A <br />witness was also located for the domestic assault who observed Mr. Martin assault a <br />female victim by pushing her into bushes and punching her in the face. The witness also <br />observed Mr. Martin choking the female victim. Mr. Martin was also arrested for 5th <br />degree Domestic Assault. CN 14015573. <br />Saint Paul Police hosted the Hi -Viz DWI Saturation on Friday, December 19, 2014 from <br />8 P.M. to 4 A.M. Fourteen overtime funded officers focused their efforts on Snelling <br />Ave from border to border in Saint Paul that yielded the following: <br />187 traffic stops <br />18 people arrested & brought to jail <br />15 DWI arrests <br />15 drivers cited for Driving after Revocation or Suspension <br />14 vehicles towed <br />Notes: A very busy night with several officers making multiple DWI arrests during the <br />shift. A Ramsey County deputy was involved in a motor vehicle pursuit where the <br />suspect crashed into a tree at Kent & Laurel. The driver fled on foot and 17 grams of <br />cocaine and 13 grams of marijuana were recovered from the vehicle. St Paul officer <br />witnessed a crash (recorded on squad cam) where the 19 year old driver was on the phone <br />and rear ended another vehicle. The driver was arrested for DWI and tested at .17 <br />AC. Another St Paul officer made 34 traffic stops throughout the night. <br />On December 24th Sgt. Nelson and Officer McNeely responded to a report that a vehicle <br />had struck a building in the 2500 block of Mississippi St. The Officers arrived to find the <br />driver had minor injuries and was evaluated and released at the scene by Allina Medics. <br />CN 14016074. <br />4 <br />
