BIAS CRIME REPORTS <br />This section will contain any information regarding bias and/or hate crimes in the City <br />of New Brighton. <br />There were no bias crime reports this month. <br />VII. VOLUNTEER SERVICES <br />This section contains information on our various volunteer organizations related to <br />Public Safety. This includes the activities of the Public Safety Commission, Police <br />Reserves, Police Explorers, and Volunteers in Public Safety (VIPS). <br />Activity for the month includes the following: <br />The Police Explorers held their monthly meeting and training on February 4th at the <br />Public Safety Center. Officer McNeely and Officer Slack, the Explorer Advisors, <br />conducted training and scenarios for response to bomb/explosive incidents. <br />The Police Explorers were trained during their regular February meeting in firearms <br />handling, shooting and safety. Sgt. Terry Nelson instructed the Explorers. Officer <br />Aaron Slack and Officer Kathy McNeely are the Explorer Advisors. <br />10 <br />
