Sgt. Nelson teaching the basics of firearms safety and shooting skills <br />The Public Safety Commission held their monthly meeting on Monday, February 23rd <br />Deputy Chief Hamdorf conducted a presentation on our process and proposal to purchase <br />a new fire truck. <br />Reserve Officer Adam Nelson reported that the Police Reserves donated 102.25 hours in <br />February. They have donated a total of 179.25 hours so far this year. Reserve Officer <br />Adam Nelson and Mike Tester each donated 30 hours in February. Officer Krebsbach is <br />the Reserve Liaison. <br />VIII. HOMELAND SECURITY AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT <br />This section will review ongoing activities for homeland security and emergency <br />management. This includes the activities of the New Brighton Community Emergency <br />Response Teams (CERT). <br />No items to report. <br />IX. TRAINING <br />This section will review the training activities of our Public Safety personnel for the <br />month. <br />Fire Marshal Kip LaMotte attended the ICC Upper Great Plains Region III Education <br />Institute Conference. <br />Sgt. Nelson attended training at the 2015 MPPOA Legislative Conference. <br />Officer Craig attended the DMT Certification Course on February 10th thru the I2th <br />(breath testing certification) <br />Firefighter Adam Nelson attended a Youth Fire Setter prevention conference on February <br />11 <br />
