Front door of Dairy Queen with fluid trail
Vehicle found after backing up from hitting Dairy Queen
On August 25th at about 11:53 a.m. Officer Farmer was on patrol westbound on County
Rd H. He observed a vehicle, a 2006 Chrysler, traveling eastbound at speeds up to 38
mph in the 30 mph zone. The vehicle also failed to completely stop for a stop sign at Cty
Rd H at Long Lake Rd. Officer Farmer stopped the vehicle in the area of Cty Rd H at
Old Hwy 8 NW and identified the driver as Brian Johnson, 47 years of age from Blaine.
Mr. Johnson appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance as he spoke
very loud and very fast, his eyes were unable to focus on one thing for an extended period
of time and the left side of his mouth twitched and his legs were unable to remain still.
Officer Farmer conducted field sobriety tests that included a preliminary breath test that
resulted in no presence of alcoholic beverages. Mr. Johnson failed the field sobriety
testing and was placed under arrest. Drug paraphernalia were located and removed from
N.
