Employees of US Bank reported a fraudulent withdrawal in -progress around 4:20 pm on <br />Thursday, October 17. Officer Pyka located the suspect leaving the business. The <br />suspect provided false information but was eventually identified via fingerprint and found <br />to have an active Washington County warrant for misdemeanor theft. When placed under <br />arrest, the suspect claimed that he had ingested an unknown substance so he was <br />transported to the hospital for evaluation. The 36 -year-old Richfield resident is to be <br />charged with forgery, identity theft, and false information to a police officer. <br />A 20 -year-old female stabbed her 60 -year-old father in the chest with a butcher knife <br />shortly before 7 pm on Wednesday, October 16, at their house in the 2300 block of 17th <br />Avenue NW. She then fled on foot. The father was transported to HCMC for surgery. <br />RCSO canines and the State Patrol helicopter assisted with a ground search for the <br />suspect but she was not located. Richfield Police arrested the suspect the following <br />evening and she was charged with 1 st and 2nd degree assault. <br />Just after midnight on October 18, Officer Amberg was on routine patrol when he <br />observed a vehicle with an equipment violation. He activated his emergency lights to stop <br />the vehicle, but it did not immediately stop. The vehicle continued into a nearby parking <br />lot in the 2000 block of 14th Street NW and finally stopped. When Officer Amberg made <br />contact with the driver, he could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. <br />The driver provided a false name to Officer Amberg. After determining what the driver's <br />real name was, it was found that he had two felony warrants; one for receiving stolen <br />property and one for escaping custody. He was placed under arrest and transported to the <br />Ramsey County Jail. Due to the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, a K9 was <br />requested to assist with the stop. The K9 alerted to the possibility of narcotics in the <br />vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted and suspected meth, some marijuana and <br />a stolen gun were recovered. The other 3 occupants of the vehicle were placed under <br />arrest and interviewed. Two additional passengers were booked into the Ramsey County <br />Jail for narcotics and stolen property charges. <br />Officers respond to the Birch Pond Condominiums shortly before 11 am on Friday, <br />October 18, to check the welfare of a 68 -year-old female who did not show up for work <br />and was not answering her phone. She was located in a bedroom on the floor of her unit <br />and appeared to have suffered a stroke. Allina paramedics transported her to Abbott - <br />Northwestern Hospital. <br />Public Safety responded to an odor of natural gas in an apartment building in the 800 <br />block of 6th Avenue NW around 3:15 pm on Friday, October 18, and isolated the source <br />to a single unit. The building caretaker reported that the particular resident had left with <br />a suitcase the previous day. No keys were immediately available to unlock the door so <br />firefighters forced entry and found that a burner on the stove had been left on. The <br />building was ventilated and turned over to property maintenance. <br />New Brighton officers located several theft suspects from an incident that occurred in the <br />City of Mounds View around 8:30 pm on Friday, October 18. Mounds View Police <br />handled the investigation. <br />Around 4:45 pm on Monday, October 21, a homeowner in the 600 block of 2nd Avenue <br />NW confronted a passing motorist who had stopped to urinate on the street in the front of <br />0 <br />
