Site Plan Review: Totem Pole Park Rehabilitation
Planning Commission Report; 4-18-23

Page 7
Proposed Site
Plan Updates:
 Proposed updates for Totem Pole Park have been slightly scaled back in
recognition of engineering challenges and the resulting budgetary realities facing
redevelopment of this land. The primary changes from the concept plan are:
o Amongst the options to replace the Neighborhood Center building, an open air
shelter with two restrooms was selected as the appropriate facility for this park.
o The optional Trail Loop amenity was removed from the final plan.
o Parking was reduced from 39 stalls to 27 stalls plus two (2) accessible parking
spaces
o The existing playground equipment (only 8 years old) will be relocated rather
than being replaced (may still be supplemented with new pieces if prices come
down).
