<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />Public Safety Commission <br />November 14, 2022 City Hall <br />Council Chambers 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />I. Call to Order <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chair Hollimon. <br /> <br />II. Roll Call: <br />Members Present: Commissioners Aisha Ali, Robert Boyd (attending remotely), Tom Harkins, <br />Geoff Hollimon, Leah Kuipers, Roberto Valdizan, Karen Wagner (attending remotely), and Jack <br />Winkels (attending remotely). Also attending was student commissioner Samuel Strong. <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Adam Stout. <br /> <br />Also Present: Director Tony Paetznick, Council Member Graeme Allen and Dave Matteson <br />(Allina Health). <br /> <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Wagner, seconded by Harkins to approve the November 14, 2022 agenda as <br />presented. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br />IV. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Wagner, seconded by Winkels to approve the October 10, 2022 minutes as presented. <br />Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br />V. Presentations and Business Items <br /> <br />A. Introduction of New Commissioners <br /> <br />Director Paetznick introduced the newly appointed Commissioner Tom Harkins to the group. <br /> <br />Commissioner Harkins introduced himself to the Commission and stated he looked forward <br />to serving the community on the Public Safety Commission. <br /> <br />B. Ambulance Operations – Dave Matteson <br /> <br />Dave Matteson provided the Commission with an update on ambulance and EMS service <br />operations for the State of Minnesota. He explained who made up the EMS regulatory board, <br />noting this group was established in 1995. He reviewed the role of the regulatory board
