11 <br />The Local Government Pay Equity Law <br />Pay Equity <br />•The intention of the Local Government Pay Equity Law is that female classes <br />are not paid consistently below male classes of “comparable value” <br />•“Comparable value” is determined by the job evaluation rating or points <br />assigned to a job class. <br />•Establishing job evaluation ratings is the first step in the pay equity process – <br />does not include seniority or performance –rather, an evaluation of job <br />content. <br />•City is required to report pay and corresponding job evaluation scores every <br />three years. <br />Source: https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/pay-equity/job-eval.pdf
