This contract is similar in terms of wage increase and health insurance
contribution to the Teamsters Union 2006 contract.

The contract provides for a 3% cost ofliving adjustment (COLA) effective January 1,2006.
This is the same increase received by the non union employees and the Teamsters Union. The
health insurance contribution in 2006 is also consistent with that received by both the non union
and Teamsters Union groups, The employer contribution for single health coverage will increase
by $30/month and $40/month for family health coverage. In 2006, the employer will contribute
$470 for single health insurance and $660 for family health insurance. Those employees that
opt-out of health coverage will receive $200/month to be applied towards other benefits in the
cafeteria program. The uniform allowance will also be increased from $610 to $625 annually.

The contract provides an increase in the employer contribution towards long term disability
(LTD). Currently, the City pays for 60% of the LTD premium and the 2006 contract will
increase this to 75% of the premium for a 90 day LTD plan.

I: \COUNCI L \REPOR TS\2006\Admin istration\Sergcants 2006 Contract.doc
