Consideration of amending a Special Use Permit & Site Plan for Beisswenger's <br />Do It Best Hardware Store. Report 05-118. Resolution No. 05-045. <br /> <br />Ee City Plarmer explained that Mr. Beisswenger is requesting a change to allow for <br />expansion in the size of the Outdoor Garden Sales Area, as well as allowing <br />ower equipment to be included in the approved text for the Outdoor Garden Sales <br />Area. <br /> <br />It was agreed to forego the masonry wall originally proposed in favor of fencing with <br />Arborvitae. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman seconded by Council Member Moore-Sykes <br />to approve SP05-11 AND LP 05-07, SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: <br />1. Compliance with SP04-01 and LP03-08 <br />2. A special use permit is applied for to consider signage through the <br />comprehensive sign plan process. <br />3. The storage of any packaging, garbage or recycling material shall not be stored <br />outside of the dumpster enclosure area as depicted on the site plan. <br />4. Garden Sales Area items shall be stored only in the "garden center" area as <br />depicted on the April 29, 2005 amended site plan. <br />5. Items within garden sales area shall not be stacked above the 6 foot masonry <br />wall or fenced area nor be visible from Old Highway 8 NW. <br />6. Outdoor "Garden Sales area" can include shrubs, fountains, bagged materials <br />such as soils and manure, mulches, trees, and small utility sheds located against <br />wall which shall not exceed 120 sq. ft. and power equipment. <br />7. A masonry wall matching the main building shall be located on the north 84 <br />feet of the garden sales area; the remaining 115 feet may be fencing material; <br />arborvitae shall be densely planted for screening of this area. <br />8. Trees over 6 feet may extend above the screening. <br />9. The applicant shall submit plans to be approved by the City Planner for all <br />seasonal sales events. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />3.
