The traffic study also provides recommendations for the intersection <br />geometries at these three locations. <br /> <br />City staff has requested that KHA assist them in the development of a preliminary <br />design/layout for Old Highway 8 considering the recommendations ofthe Framework Plan <br />and the traffic study. The preliminary design/layout will be used as the basis for the <br />subsequent final design and construction of the improvements. <br /> <br />Scope of Services <br /> <br />The following is a summary of the specific tasks to be completed as part of this study. <br /> <br />Task I - Gather Existing Conditions Information <br /> <br />We have assumed that the City and/or Ramsey County will provide the following existing <br />conditions information for the project: <br /> <br />. Existing conditions topographic survey. <br />. Utility (sanitary sewer, watermain, and storm sewer) as-built information for the <br />roadway right-of~way. <br />. Roadway as-built information. <br />. Roadway right-of-way and utility easement information. <br /> <br />We will review this information and conduct a field review of the project area to verify the <br />existing conditions and gather additional information. We will also gather private utility <br />information for the project area. An AutoCAD existing conditions base map for the <br />project area will be prepared based upon the information gathered as a part of this task. <br /> <br />Task 2 - Prepare Preliminary Layout Options <br /> <br />Based upon the recommendations of the Framework Plan and the traffic study, we will <br />develop up to three (3) layout options for Old Highway 8. The layout drawings will <br />identify the following improvements: <br /> <br />. Proposed roadway and intersection geometries. <br />. Proposed center medians and on-street parking areas. <br />. Proposed traffic signal locations and layouts. <br />. Preliminary landscape/streetscape improvements with the roadway right-of-way. <br />. Existing and proposed roadway right-of-way limits. <br /> <br />Upon the completion of the preliminary layout options, we will meet with City staff, <br />Ramsey County staff, and representatives of the project area developers to review the <br />layout options and receive comments.
