Industries, Inc. is out of town and could not attend tonight's meeting. Mr. <br />. Haines has asked me to represent him and CO.C. Industries, Inc. <br /> <br />_OnJuly 1,1996, Mr;'Hainespersonally purchased the Basic bidustries building located at 1275 <br />Old Highway 8, New Brighton, MN. Mr..Haines'plans are to rent outthe entire13asic Industries <br />. building to rentersuther than C.O.C. Industries, Inc. Currently, Rob C. Davidson froinNielsen <br />and AssociatesRealty has the rental listing for. this building. Today, he showed the property to a <br />. perspe-ctiverenter. . Another showing is scheduled.for later this week. <br /> <br />Mr. Haines plans to subdivide the land at 1275 Old Highway 8.and construct a 30,000-3-5,000 <br />~q'l.lare foot building for C.O.C.Industries.Inc. The lot survey shows that originally this lot was <br />subdivided into three parcels and had been combined by the prevIOUS owners. Construction of <br />this building was plarmed to start this fall with occupancy in the spring of 1997. <br /> <br />Prior to purchasing.the Basic Industries land and building,. Mr. Haines hired Peer Envirorunental <br />& Engitteering ResoUl'c;:es, Inc. to do the necessary environmental testing andto obtain from the <br />Minnesota Pollution Control. Agency (MPCA) assurance that the land was suitable for <br />development. The MPCAhadprovided to Mr. Haines at the time of purchase, the assurances <br />thatthe land was 'suitable for development. Mr. David D. Vieau, President of Peer <br />Environmental also spoke to the City of ~ew Brighton and was toldthat building on this lot of a <br />building:for C.O.C.lndustries, Inc. would be within the zoning and land uses included in the. <br />comprehensive plari: <br /> <br />Minnesota <br /> <br />.
