The total amount for water utility work is <br />$13,247.57 and will be paid from the water utility fund. The total cost for sewer <br />repair is $16,637.14 and will be paid from the City's sanitary sewer utility fund. <br /> <br />After the special assessments are ordered, residents will have 30 days to payoff the <br />assessment without interest. If residents choose not to pay within that time, the <br />assessment it is then certified to the County for collection with real estate taxes. This <br />unpaid balance will be subject to a 6 3/4 % interest charge which will be spread over <br />a to-year collection period.
