<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 26, 1995 <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Public Hearinll. continued <br /> <br />The following assessment rates will be applied: lots with existing concrete curb and <br />gutter - $617.45/lot (original estimate - $814/10t); lots with existing bituminous curb <br />receiving new concrete curb and gutter - $993/1ot (original estimate - $1, 137/1ot); and <br />lots with no existing curbing receiving new concrete curb and gutter - $1,423.7111ot <br />(original estimate - $1,536/1ot). The total amount for water utility work is <br />$13,247.57 and will be paid from the water utility fund. The total cost for sewer <br />repair is $16,637.14 and will be paid from the City's sanitary sewer utility fund. <br /> <br />After the special assessments are ordered, residents will have 30 days to payoff the <br />assessment without interest. If residents choose not to pay within that time, the <br />assessment it is then certified to the County for collection with real estate taxes. This <br />unpaid balance will be subject to a 6 3/4 % interest charge which will be spread over <br />a to-year collection period.
