I

I

I

Council Meeting Minutes
October 11, 1994

Page 3

Public Hearing - 7:40-7:42 p.m., Roseville Properties/Trend Enterprises

City Planner Erny Mattila presented a minor subdivision involving two industrial
lots. Trend Enterprises discovered a 6 ft. section of their driveway is located on the
property owned by Roseville Properties. To resolve the situation, Trend proposed a
subdivision, however, this would relocate about 20 ft. of Roseville's driveway onto
Trend property. Trend has redrawn the survey so 10 ft. of Roseville's site would
be sold to Trend. This arrangement avoids any encroachment onto an adjacent site.

There were no comments from the audience.

Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Samuelson, to CWSE THE HEARING.

5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried.

Hearing was closed at 7:42 p.m.

Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Williams, to WAIVE THE READING AND
ADOPT THE RESOLUTION APPROVED PL-213.

5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried.

Public Hearinll - 7:43-7:48 p.m. - Judith Young Lot Split

Mattila presented a request to subdivide an existing single family parcel into two
single family lots. The parcel is located at 763--5th Ave. The subdivision would
exceed minimum standards. The existing lot contains two homes, and the lot split
would place each home on a separate lot bringing the site into compliance. The
property is the Kermit Hedman estate. Williams asked if the railroad track on the
south lot is part of the "shortline" railroad. Mattila said the track will be derailed.

Benke noted a garage which appears to encroach onto an adjacent property. Mattila
said the garage is an existing non-conformity which will be addressed when the
property is sold. An audience member said the garage is a lean-to structure.

There were no further comments from the audience.

Motion by Williams, seconded by Gunderman, to CLOSE TIlE HEARING.

5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried.

Hearing was closed at 7:48 p.m.

Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Williams, to WAIVE THE READING AND
ADOPT THE RESOLUTION APPROVING PL-214.

5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried.

Public Hearinl! - 7:50-9:00 p.m. - Project 92-8, Mork Campion

City Engineer Proper said over 600 notices were mailed to owners involved in the
following projects: Projects 92-8, 92-13, 92-14, 93-1, 93-2, and 93-6.
