Proper met with Lake Diane residents to discuss the <br />1992 work plan and budget. Because of an oversight, the 1990 tax levy <br />of $3,200 had not been collected and caused the current project fund to <br />be $1309.73 in the red. The residents asked the error be rechecked <br />because they thought it had appeared on their tax statements. <br /> <br />Assuming the $3,200 was collected, the residents approved a zero <br />budget. There would be a positive carry-over from 1991 of $1,890.27 for <br />1992. They also approved a $2,500 budget for 1992, if the $3,200 had <br />not been collected, which would provide a positive balance of $1,190.27 <br />in the fund. <br /> <br />It was found the 1990 budget of $3,200 was not levied, and the amount <br />on the tax statement was the combined levies of several other special tax <br />district. <br /> <br />In accordance with the City's new Lake Restoration Policy, the City would <br />pick up 25% of the project cost of $625 and the remainder of $1,875 <br />would be levied against the Lake Diane special taxing district consisting of <br />the 24 shoreline lots. <br /> <br />LeFevere is in concurrence with the proposal and Proper said the City has <br />not received appeals from the 24 landowners.
