<br />1 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />August 27, 1991 <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Soecial Order of Business. continued <br /> <br />In 1990, the City's Liquor Ordinance was amended to reflect termination <br />of the City's Liquor Operation and the opening of Champps' and Los <br />Banditos Restaurants. The amendment included increasing the insurance <br />liability to $1 million. <br /> <br />City Attorney Charlie LeFevere said the City previously required liabilities <br />of $100,OOO/per person and $300,000Itwo or more person, with no <br />reduction in coverage upon payment of a claim. The City found this type <br />of insurance unavailable and agreed to the inclusion of an $1 million <br />annual limit. He also noted that Giuseppe's would need to pay one full <br />year of insurance to be entitled to the insurance exemption. <br /> <br />Benke feels the State minimum seems an appropriate requirement for New <br />Brighton businesses. <br /> <br />Williams requested staff research requirement of other municipalities.
