Mounds View Public Schools (ZA2006-008), Zoning Code <br />Amendment to Chapter 9, Section 050 (1) (A) and Section 060 (1) (A) <br />regarding ground sign area limitations for institutional signs within <br />residential zoning districts. <br />Report No. 06-198. Ordinance No. 743 <br /> <br />City Planner, Janice Gundlach outlined the defmition of the Zoning Code <br />pertaining to signs. Five of the thirteen Mounds view schools are located in the <br />City. The current code allows for signs to be 20 square feet, the school distpct is <br />proposing 32 square foot signs. All other requirements are met including set <br />backs, height and wall sign requirements. The am.endment deals with schools, <br />and churches. <br />F Planning corrunission recommends approval of the proposed code <br />endment, and staff recommends adoption as well. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman, seconded by Council Member Burg to adopt <br />the attached code amendment. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br /> <br />9. Resolution No. 06-085. Ordinance No. 744. <br /> <br />City Planner, Janice Gundlach explained the project has been named "Long Lake <br />Landing." Ms. Gundlach highlighted the principle changes as follows: <br />. Total unit reduction from 704 to 674: This reduction in units is directly <br />related to the other revisions noted here. <br />. Re-orientation of the Sherman condominium building and its associated <br />surlace parking. <br />. Incorporation of additional surlace visitor parking for the New Urban Flat <br />and Urban Flat Rottlund condominium buildings. <br />. Shifting of Rottlund Gable and Row Craftsman Town home units in an <br />effort to provide a more prominent green space corridor from the north to <br />the south providing a connection to the future City Park. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />7.
