<br />r <br /> <br />NEW BRIGHTON PLANNING COMMISSION <br />BOARD OF PLANNING <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AUGUST 7, 1980 <br /> <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN CONSISTENCY: WILLMUS <br /> <br />Chairman Leverkuhn briefly reviewed the past Board consideratiens <br />.of the propesal. He neted that it appears that it is the intent <br />.of beth the applicant and Beard .of Planning that this proposal <br />cemply with the standards in the Cemprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />The applicant '.s attorney was present te answer any questions. <br />He stated that the applicant weuld develep the preperty under <br />a PUD and that the proposal would cenferm with the standards. <br />The tenants .of the building would rent .or lease cemponents <br />of the building fer storage and .office use. <br /> <br />Cemmissiener Weaver voiced a cencern ever the twe access <br />peints and truck traffic in regard te safety en Ceunty 'Read "E" <br />and Old Highway #8. <br /> <br />Commissiener Knuth alse indicated cencern over the access te <br />the site and restricting turning mevements en Old Highway #8. <br />He stated that the traffic situatien will have to be thoroughly <br />studied during the PUD applicatien. <br /> <br />The applicant's representatives at the meeting stated that <br />the two drives are necessary fer emergency/fire protectien, etc. <br /> <br />Commissiener Weaver inquired abeut the type of tenants. <br /> <br />The applicant's representatives noted that the existing <br />buildings .owned by the applicant in the nerth suburban" <br />a~ea are used fer storage and .office. In addition, some <br />tenants are invelved in light assembly, the company has <br />no intentien .of leasing space fer manufacturing uses. <br /> <br />Commissioner Knuth questioned the sterage .of hazardous <br />.or texic material. <br /> <br />The applicant's representatives stated that there is no <br />intention .of leasing space te tenants which requires the <br />sterage .of hazardous materials. <br /> <br />Motien by Leverkuhn, seconded by Knuth te recommend that <br />the proposal is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and <br />that the recemmendation .of the Beard .of Planning ,is based <br />en the applicant developing the property under Section 11-500 <br />Planned Unit Devel.opment of the zoning code and that such <br />development conferms with the standards outlined in "a-g" <br />page 8 Land Use .of the Comprehensive Plan (dated February 1, 1979). <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br />
