This B-3 designation is described in <br />the ordinance as follows. <br />"A general business district, as distinguished <br />from a neighborhood business district, contains <br />uses which include the sale of commodities or <br />performance of services for a larger segment of <br />the population than the average neighborhood." <br /> <br />A review of the permitted uses under the B-3 zone <br />includes: <br />A. All uses permitted in B-1 and B-2 (General <br />Office and Neighborhood Business) districts. <br />B. The sale of food and beverages, including <br />sale for consumption on the premises. <br />C. The sale of general merchandise. <br />D. Sale of apparel. <br />E. Sale of furniture and household goods. <br />F. Sale of other goods. <br />G. Eating places. <br />H. Service establishments (research labora- <br />tories, radio-TV stations, etc.) <br />I. Business offices, including office buildings, <br />banks, and business colleges. <br />J. Automotive service stations. <br />K. Other uses as granted by the City Council. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The proposed development is consistent with the <br />current B-3 zoning designation. with the excep- <br />tion of the property immediately north of the site, <br />the zoning surrounding the parcel is comprised <br />entirely of varying levels of residential designa- <br />tion.
