<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES <br />NEW BRIGHTON PLANNING COMMISSION <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JULY 15~ 1986 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING 8:45 - 8:55 p.m. <br /> <br />CHENOWETH GREENHOUSES <br /> <br />NC-76 AND LP-201 <br /> <br />Starr presented the videotape or the site. <br /> <br />Chairman Baker asked what the designation or City property was <br />on the site plan. <br /> <br />Starr stated that that was a mistake--it should indicate that <br />that is the property line. <br /> <br />Chairman Baker suggested that all or the parking along the north <br />side Or the building be moved up against the building to <br />eliminate a zig zag driving pattern. <br /> <br />Vicki DeYoung~ Chenoweth Greenhouses~ stated this could be done <br />but would eliminate the proposed area or landscaping. Trucks do <br />unload in rront or the loading dock on the north side or the <br />building. <br /> <br />Chairman Baker asked how orten that loading dock was used. <br /> <br />Ms. DeYoung stated that the loading dock was used about once <br />every two weeks ror semi-loads. Semi's usually arrive between 12 <br />noon and 2 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner Livingston asked what the total increase or square <br />rootage will be over their current racility. <br /> <br />Ms. DeYoung stated that there would be an additional 2~200 square <br />reet. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sande stated she thought not all or the present <br />space was greenhouse. <br /> <br />Ms. DeYoung stated that was correct. There was currently more <br />storage area. <br /> <br />Representative Benke asked how the required parking was <br />calculated. <br /> <br />Starr stated that the required parking was based on the <br />industrial zoning standards or one space per I~OOO square reet or <br />gross rloor area. <br /> <br />Ms. DeYoung stated that their proposal has eight more parking <br />spaces than is currently provided.
