<br />PAGE 2 <br /> <br />Council Representative Benke reported that a meeting was held with <br />representatives rrom the State Department Or Energy and Economic <br />Development to rinalize the remaining requirements toward Star City <br />designation. Stated that Commissioner Dayton is scheduled to come <br />to the City to make the presentation at the November 25, 1986 <br />Council meeting. <br /> <br />AGENDA REVIEW <br /> <br />Commissioner Sande requested Item No. 5 pertaining to signage at <br />Rice Creek Center be added to the agenda. <br /> <br />GENERAL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Winrield Developments, LP-199 <br /> <br />Chairman Baker stated ~hat there is a letter from Mr. Jim Winkels <br />requesting continuation or LP-199. <br /> <br />Motion by Baker, seconded by Sande to continue Winrield <br />Developments, LP-199 until next month. <br /> <br />7 ayes. 0 nays. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Winrield Developments - Concept ror Orrice Building <br /> <br />Chairman Baker reported on a meeting with Mr. Jim Winkels and <br />brierly outlined the concept. Stated that one item Winrield is <br />looking at is moving the building toward 1-694; stated a PUD <br />requires a setback the height Or the building. Stated the <br />proposed building is 36 reet high, and that Winrield will be <br />asking ror a variance on the setback. Stated that the concept <br />presentation will be on the October agenda. <br /> <br />Senden and Associates - LP-201 <br /> <br />Erny Mattila outlined the request by Senden. Mattila stated that <br />a similar proposal was approved ror the site by the Planning <br />Commission in 1985, and that an extension was granted until <br />August 28, 1986. Stated what the applicant is now proposing is <br />to build an addition onto the existing building Or 9 reet 4 <br />inches onto the rront or the building and 20 reet onto the north <br />side Or the building and a 15 or 16 root drive to the north. <br />Mattila also stated that the Fire Department has requested a 20 <br />root drive, and that in the past the City has required 22 root <br />drives ror all the sites in industrial and commercial areas. <br />Mattila stated that parking stalls meet code requirements and <br />landscaping is identical to that approved in 1985. Starr <br />recommended approval Or the proposed site plan with the condition <br />that the driveway be widened to permit access by emergency <br />vehicles. <br /> <br />Commissioner Becker asked what are the code requirements. <br />
