<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />VACATIONS. <br /> <br />At the start of employment, Lotter will be provided with 5 days (40 hours) of vacation time to <br />use at his discretion. <br /> <br />During each year Lotter will be allowed to accrue vacation at the same rate as department heads <br />with similar longevity in employment. Lotter will begin employment with the longevity of five <br />(5) years, therefore, being immediately eligible to accumulate three weeks vacation annually. <br /> <br />5. SICK LEAVE. <br /> <br />At the start of employment, Lotter will be provided with 24 hours of sick leave. Lotter shall earn <br />sick leave to the same maximum accumulation allowed to department heads. <br /> <br />6. HOLIDAYS. <br /> <br />The City will provide Lotter the same standard holidays as enjoyed by department heads. <br /> <br />7. INSURANCE. <br /> <br />The City shall provide Lotter with the same family medical, dental and life insurance as is <br />available to department heads. All such insurance related premiums shall be paid fully by the <br />City. <br /> <br />8. DUES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS. <br /> <br />The City agrees to budget and pay the professional dues and subscriptions for Lotter which are <br />necessary for his continued participation in national, regional, state, and local associations <br />necessary and desirable for his continued professional participation, growth and advancement <br />and for the good of the City. <br /> <br />8. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. <br /> <br />The City agrees to budget and pay the travel and subsistence expenses of Lotter for professional <br />and official travel, meetings and occasions adequate to continue the professional development of <br />Lotter, and to adequately pursue necessary official and other committees thereof which Lotter <br />serves as a member. Lotter will use good judgment in his outside activities so he will not neglect <br />his primary duties to the City. Some of the seminars Lotter expects to attend include, but are not <br />limited to, the following: International City Management Association, National League of Cities, <br />League of Minnesota Cities and Minnesota City Managers Association Conferences. <br /> <br />The City also agrees to budget for and pay the travel and subsistence expenses of Lotter for short <br />courses, or seminars that are necessary for his professional growth and for the good of the City as <br />approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />G:\PERSONNE\Contract\2007 Lotter Employment Contract.doc <br />
