<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />December 13, 1990 <br /> <br />Page 11 <br /> <br />Council Business. continued <br /> <br />Motion by Larson, seconded by Rebelein, to APPROVE R & H PAINTING <br />LOW QUOTE IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,000 FOR WORK AT WELL #10. <br /> <br />5 Ayes ~ 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Regarding the temporary appointments of personnel to sergeant status, <br />Rebelein asked the effective date of the retroactive pay. Childs said the <br />pay is retroactive to the most recent pay period. The pay is part of a <br />grievance settlement repealing an earlier policy. <br /> <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Williams, to AUTHORIZE PAYMENT <br />WITH RETROACTIVE PROVISION OF PERSONS TEMPORARILY <br />PROMOTED TO SERGEANT. <br /> <br />5 Ayes ~ 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />In regards to the addendum to the Northwest Youth and Family Services <br />Agreement, Rebelein asked why the City of Roseville is being relieved of <br />an obligation to provide auditing services. <br /> <br />Larson explained that in the past, Roseville's Internal Auditing Department <br />performed the auditing, but now Roseville is requesting that a private <br />service be used because of the potential for a conflict of interest. <br /> <br />Motion by Larson, seconded by Williams, to APPROVE THE ADDENDUM <br />TO THE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH NORTHWEST SUBURBAN <br />YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES AND DIRECT THE MA VOR AND CITY <br />MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE DOCUMENT. <br /> <br />5 Ayes ~ 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Announcements and Uodates <br /> <br />Childs noted that the recent Focus Newsoaoer story which referred to <br />United Theological Seminary leaving the City was premature. In <br />contacting them, they indicated that in the next two years they will be <br />adding to their present facility and thanked the City for its interest. <br /> <br />Ramsey County indicated that the New Brighton City Hall Court facility is <br />at capacity and the County is looking at the possibility of locating a <br />10,000 square foot facility. County and City staff will investigate sites <br />within New Brighton. Benke suggested the Economic Development <br />Commission be notified of this possibility. <br /> <br />Larson has resigned his position on the Regional Transit Board, because of <br />time conflicts. Williams said Council needs to formalize the City's position <br />on transit.
