<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />November 27, 1990 <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Public Hearina, continued <br /> <br />Motion by Williams, seconded by Larson, to WAIVE THE SECOND <br />READING AND ADOPT AN AMENDMENT TO CITY CODE CHAPTER FOUR <br />RELATING TO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Public HearinQ - 7:50-7:53 p.m. <br /> <br />Kelley said M. R. Moore's Inc., DBA New Brighton Liquors, have applied <br />for an off-sale intoxicating liquor license at 2397 Palmer Drive. A <br />background investigation found one citation issued in Minneapolis for <br />underage sale during a sting operation. Kelley feels this citation should <br />not preclude the issuance of the license. <br /> <br />There were no comments from the audience. <br /> <br />Motion by Williams, seconded by Rebelein, to CLOSE THE HEARING. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Larson, to APPROVE THE ISSUANCE OF <br />AN OFF-SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE TO M. R. MOORE'S INC., <br />DBA NEW BRIGHTON L10UORS, PROVIDED THAT PROOF OF $1 MILLION <br />L10UOR LIABILITY INSURANCE, AND PROOF OF WORKERS' <br />COMPENSATION INSURANCE ARE FURNISHED TO THE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT PRIOR TO ISSUANCE. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Public Hearinq - 7:54-8:01 p,m. <br /> <br />Kelley said Champps' New Brighton, has applied for a small restaurant on- <br />sale liquor license with Sunday sales permit. <br /> <br />A background investigation found one citation issued in Minnetonka for a <br />food cooler which was not at proper temperature. <br /> <br />Francis Dallman, 2001 Palmer Drive, asked Kelley if he is comfortable with <br />the investigation findings.
