<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />November 28, 1989 <br /> <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />Council Business, continued <br /> <br />The cost of a LTD plan is calculated at a percentage of annual wage. <br />The rate for the New Brighton plan is .46% (.0046) of an employee's <br />annual salary (assuming a 180 day elimination period). <br /> <br />Motion by Brandt, seconded by Larson, to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT <br />THE RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONTRACT WITH SCHOOL INSURANCE FUND. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />The fi na 1 payment of the 1989 street seal coati ng and curb repair <br />contract was presented to the Council. <br /> <br />All of the contract work has been completed and inspected by the <br />Engineering Department. It was found to be in conformance with the <br />contract specification. <br /> <br />The final amount of $34,651.40 is slightly more than the bid amount <br />of $32,255.60 because the amount of concrete curb repair was <br />increased to take advantage of favorable rates. The final contract <br />amount is below the budgeted amount of $40,000. <br /> <br />Brandt verified that this contract did not include repairs in the <br />Old Towne area. <br /> <br />Proper said the City annually lets a contract for sealcoating, <br />concrete curb and sidewalk repair. Several factors are considered <br />when selecting the area which needs repair.
