<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />October la, 1989 <br /> <br />Page 7 <br /> <br />Council Business, continued <br /> <br />Pam Schmitz, Chair of the Citizen Study Committee, presented the <br />Committee's report on the water rate reduction study. <br /> <br />The Counc i 1 directed the Committee to research the subj ect of a <br />water rate reduction for senior citizens. <br /> <br />A subcommittee was formed and reviewed City policies and surveyed <br />other communities who have instituted rat~ reduction policies. <br /> <br />The subcommittee found the rate changes, which were part of this <br />yearls utility report, are sufficient for all classes of citizens. <br />Because there does not appear to be an urgent demand from a large <br />number of senior citizens, a more in-depth study be deferred to the <br />future.
