<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />October 3, 1989 <br /> <br />Page 7 <br /> <br />Public Hearing, continued <br /> <br />Ron Erickson, 1247 Long Lake Road, asked to have the cost of this <br />project compared to costs of storm sewer projects. Proper considers <br />the costs for this storm sewer system to be average. Mr. Erickson <br />feels the City should more equitably distribute assessment costs <br />throughout the City. Proper verified that the County will pay the <br />full cost of the center 24 feet of Long Lake Road north of 14th <br />Street and is picking up a greater share of the road width from 14th <br />Street to I -694 because of the ava il ab il i ty of state aid. Mr. <br />Erickson does not feel a third lane is needed and added that the <br />powerlines should have been buried. <br /> <br />Robert Anderson, 1248 Long Lake Road, said the recently installed <br />sidewalk base is six inches higher than his lot and is concerned <br />that it may cause a drainage problem. Engineering staff will <br />investigate this problem. <br /> <br />Jim Buchmann, 1568 Long Lake Road, also expressed concerns about the <br />curbing. Mr. Buchmann will discuss this problem with the Ramsey <br />County Engineer. <br /> <br />Eugene Haas, 1144 Long Lake Road, asked for further clarification <br />of hi s storm sewer assessment. Bob Rutherford wi 11 revi ew the <br />assessment with Mr. Haas after the meetin~ tonight. <br /> <br />Roland Nelson, 1250 Long Lake Road, verified that he is being <br />assessed only for the front of his lot. Engineering staff will <br />investigate the height of the grades on Mr. Nelson's lot. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Williams, to CLOSE THE PUBLIC HEARING. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Motion by Brandt, seconded by Benke, to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT <br />THE RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ASSESSMENTS FOR THE LONG LAKE ROAD <br />UPGRADING PROJECT 85-1. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Long Lake Road Project <br />85-1 <br />Report 89-238 <br />Resolution 89-123 <br />
