<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 26, 1989 <br /> <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />Council Business, continued <br /> <br />Anne Norris, Community Development Specialist, presented a request <br />to schedule a public hearing to consider creation of Tax Increment <br />Financing District #18. <br /> <br />Staff received a proposal for a redevelopment project on site #13 <br />in the Highway 8 Corridor Plan. In order for the redevelopment <br />project to proceed, a tax increment financing district needs to be <br />established. <br /> <br />Staff recommends the hearing to be held November 14, 1989, to allow <br />for time to prepare the tax increment financing plan and to provide <br />the 30-day review period for the County and School District. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Gunderman, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR 7:30 P.M., <br />NOVEMBER 14, 1989, TO CONSIDER CREATING TAX INCREMENT FINANCING <br />DISTRICT #18. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Tax Increment Financing <br />District #18 Public <br />Hearing Scheduled <br />Report 89-235 <br />Resolution 89-121 <br /> <br />Norri s presented for consi derati on an amendment to the purchase Amendment to Robi nson <br />agreement and lease with John and June Robinson. Coach Agreement/Lease <br />Report 89-236 <br /> <br />The Robinsons are leasing from the City the southern portion of the <br />old Robi nson Coach property at 2123 01 d Hi ghway 8. The Robi nsons <br />are ready to relocate their commercial operation to their new <br />facility in Spring Lake Park, but need the City to release the <br />balance of the purchase price for the southern parcel. According <br />to the purchase agreement, this amount is not to be released until <br />the City purchases the northern parcel. Due to unresolved issues <br />regarding the north parcel, the purchase of this parcel is not <br />practical at this time. <br /> <br />Once the commercial operation is off the property, the Robinsons <br />would like to continue to live on the property through November, <br />1989. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Williams, to AUTHORIZE THE <br />AMENDMENTS TO THE LEASE AND PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH JOHN AND JUNE <br />ROBINSON. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br />
