Brandt suggested enlisting <br />Samantha Orduno to help assist in the consulting of the special <br />needs of these groups. Williams feels the senior citizen members <br />of the Task Force would be a valuable consulting source. <br /> <br />Williams noted that a National Guard staff representative sat <br />through the interviews and seemed pleased with the presentations. <br />The representati ve pledged the support of the Nati ona 1 Guard's <br />architect to work with the City's architect. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Williams, to AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER <br />TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH BWBR AND BARKER, RINKER, SEACAT AND <br />PARTNERS FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICE FOR THE PROPOSED COr-t-1UNITY CENTER <br />PER THEIR PROPOSAL BASED ON THE RECOftft1ENDATION OF THE COftIt1UNITY <br />CENTER STEERING COr-t-1ITTEE. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Williams feels the issue of site selection should be resolved before <br />proceeding with Phase I and the preliminary design. <br /> <br />Childs acknowledged that the Task Force has looked at several sites, <br />but availability and conditions of these sites are still being <br />discussed. Childs noted that the architects could assist in the <br />site selection. <br /> <br />Williams suggested the development of a time line to determine the <br />best way to begin the process.
