<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 12, 1989 <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />Public Hearing, continued <br /> <br />There were no comments from the audience. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Williams, to CLOSE THE PUBLIC HEARING. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Motion by Brandt, seconded by Larson, to WAIVE THE READING THE ADOPT <br />THE RESOLUTION APPROVING A SUBDIVISION Of CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN <br />THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: <br />PAYMENT OF $750 PARK DEDICATION fEE UPON APPROVAL AND RECORDING OF <br />SAID SUBDIVISION; DEDICATION OF ADDITIONAL RIGHT-Of-WAY ALONG THE <br />VALLEY VIEW LANE CUL-DE-SAC TO BE APPROVED BY CITY ENGINEER; AND <br />THE INCLUSION Of A NO ACCESS TO SILVER LAKE ROAD PROVISION. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Williams asked if the City would be required to purchase additional <br />right-of-way. Mattila explained that the right-of-way would be <br />dedicated to the City for road access purposes because the existing <br />cul-da-sac was substandard according to City standards. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Les Proper, City Engineer, presented a resolution to initiate <br />proceedings for the special assessing of certain public improvement <br />projects this fall. <br /> <br />The projects scheduled to be special assessed are: Project 85-1 - <br />Long Lake Road Upgrading, Project 88-18 M.S.A. Street <br />Rehabilitation, Project 88-23 - lnnsbruck Estates Street and <br />Utilities, and Project 88-26 - Donatelle Watermain Extension. <br /> <br />The total specially assessed costs of these improvement projects is <br />$594,939.71. <br /> <br />Staff recommends a special assessment hearing be held October 3, <br />1989. The special meeting date is needed in order to meet the <br />County certification requirements. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Larson, to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING COSTS TO BE ASSESSED, ORDERING PREPARATION <br />OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENTS, AND SCHEDULING OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENT <br />HEARINGS ON PROJECTS 85-1, 88-18, 88-23, AND 88-26 TO BE HELD <br />OCTOBER 3, 1989. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Lot Split for George <br />Wolney - Valley View <br />Lane/PL-183 <br />Report 89-223 <br />Resolution 89-111 <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Scheduling Date for <br />Special Assessment <br />Public Hearing <br />Report 89-224 <br />Resolution 89-112 <br />
