But, Benke requests that <br />the plans and specifications for Segment B be completed in 1989. <br /> <br />Benke asked about the probability of completing Segment E in 1989, <br />and added his support for a 1989 completion of Segment 0 and County <br />Road E. Proper said Segment E could be completed in 1989, and feels <br />Segment 0 and County Road E should be combined into one contract. <br /> <br />Brandt strongly encouraged staff to submit plans and specifications <br />for Segment B before the September 1st deadline. Brandt noted that <br />County Road E should be considered a first priority project. <br /> <br />Proper noted that street lighting and tree elements would be tied <br />into a major redevelopment project and would not be considered at <br />this time. <br /> <br />Williams verified that the snow removal equipment needed for the <br />County Road E project would be included in the 1990 budget. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Williams, to APPROVE THE FEASIBILITY <br />REPORT AS THE OFFICIAL PLAN FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A GREENWAY <br />CORRIDOR ON OLD HIGHWAY 8; AND DIRECT STAFF TO PREPARE PLANS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS FOR EACH SEGMENT; AND PROGRAM FUNDING INTO THE CITY <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Larson, seconded by Gunderman, to RETAIN ORR, SCHELEN, & <br />MAYERON TO PROVIDE THE ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF <br />THE COUNTY ROAD E SIDEWALK; AND SIDEWALK AND FEATURES ON SEGMENTS <br />D AND B OF THE OLD HIGHWAY 8 GREENWAY. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Greenway Corridor <br />Streetscape <br />Feasibility Study <br />Report 89-170 <br /> <br />Mr. Paul Ragozzino, Lindberg Pierce Architects, presented color City Hall Signage <br />samples for the exterior City Hall signage. The three colors Report 89-171 <br />selected by Lindberg Pierce are burgundy, neutral anodized bronze <br />and Hartford green. <br /> <br />The signage plan was a cooperative effort between staff and Lindberg <br />Pierce, Inc. Staff identified the sign locations and Lindberg <br />Pierce provided the architectural design and obtained quotations. <br />
